Get Involved — Volunteer!
The Foster City School PTA has a long-standing tradition of supporting our school through the dedicated efforts of parents and caregivers. We invite you to join us in continuing this tradition by volunteering your time and skills.
Volunteering offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with our school, contribute to our community, and make a meaningful impact on our students’ lives. We encourage every parent to find a way to participate that fits best with your schedule and interests.
Our goal is to achieve 100% participation with 10 hours of volunteering per family each year—just ONE hour per month!
Choose the level of involvement that works for you and your family!
Here are some ways you can get involved:
- Attend PTA general meetings
- Help with preparations for PTA publications and promotional materials (newsletters, flyers, posters, etc.)
- Volunteer at PTA-sponsored one-time events (Winter Dance, Talent Show, etc.)
- Join a PTA program committee and organize an event (Book Fair, Hospitality/Staff Appreciation Team, etc.)
- Serve as room parent or yearbook parent
- Class activities
- Chaperone field trips
- Assist in the classroom, library, computer lab, and more
Don’t forget to record your hours! You can enter your volunteer hours as often as needed. This helps us maintain our federal tax-exempt status and allows us to celebrate the contributions of our wonderful volunteers. Use this link to record your volunteer hours.
Thank you for dedicating your time and energy to our school community. Together, we support our students and strengthen our community!
